So, for example, you could have a fax and telephone in the study or home office, a telephone in the kitchen and a modem in a child,s bedroom - all of which can be operated separately, but controlled through the central unit.

Speed dialling lets you store up to 40 frequently dialled numbers in the system memory, and access them from any telephone connected to the system.

Distinctive ringing tones allow you to distinguish between internal, external and doorphone calls.

Paging means you can contact people on other extensions over the speakers in key telephones..

Do not disturb means your telephone will not disturb you when you are busy.

Call barring provides you with the control to prevent others making calls to numbers you don't want them to, by allowing you to programme restrictions on specific telephone codes. (No long-distance or overseas calls from extensions other than in the study perhaps).

Cost-effective right from the start Programme up to five of the most cost-effective network carriers in to the system, and whenever you make a call, the KX-T206E will choose the best value route, depending on the number dialled. With Least Cost Call Routing, you can start to save money from the very first time you pick up the phone.

Fax or Phone? Fax calls don't always choose their moment, arriving at any time of day or night. But the KX-T206E can automatically answer fax and voice calls, and tell the difference between them. So fax calls can be answered at any time without disturbing you, and you don't need a dedicated line for your fax machine.

Personal Service A personalised message is much the nicest way to be greeted on the phone if you can't answer it yourself. The KX-T206E's Direct Inward Station Access allows you to record a personalised message to greet callers, and instruct them how to route themselves to the person they want to speak to.

Conference calling A two-way conversation isn't always enough. So the KX-T206E lets up to 3 people join in at any one time.

Who's there? As well as helping you to deal with telephone callers more efficiently, the KX-T206E helps you handle callers at the door.

Visitors must announce themselves over the door phone (optional) and - if you have the nexessary electronic locking device on your door - will only be allowed access if you choose to let them in.
